new playlists on the channel: a small reorganization
Spring has arrived.
The days are getting longer, the light is changing, and with it come more moments in life worth capturing.
Over the past few months, the amount of material published on the channel has grown considerably. Tastings, fairs, meetings with industry professionals, reflections, and conversations among enthusiasts. All of these are part of the vast and fascinating universe of whisky.
For this very reason, I decided it was time to bring a bit more order to things.
When the channel first started, I never imagined I would produce so much content. In the beginning there were only a few playlists, including Moonshiner Music, Sicily by Sam, and Fly High. The main section was, and still is, Sam’s Whisky Lounge, the playlist dedicated to the world of whisky.
Over time, however, the content has multiplied, and it felt natural to divide it into more specific categories. This way it becomes much easier to navigate through the videos and quickly find what interests you most.
So let’s take a look at the new playlists that will now be part of the channel.
exclusive tastings
As the name suggests, the Exclusive Tastings playlist features tastings and presentations led directly by brand ambassadors and professionals from the industry.
These are often special occasions where it’s possible to discover interesting details about distilleries, their production philosophy, and the characteristics of different whiskies.
Among the videos already published are, for example, the presentation by Ana Carreno from the Arran distillery and the one by Antony from House of McCallum.
A great way to discover curiosities and different perspectives on whisky.
fairs & events
Anyone familiar with this world knows that whisky fairs and events have a truly unique atmosphere.
For this reason, I created the Fairs & Events playlist, dedicated specifically to these moments.
Among the videos published so far are those from the whisky fairs in Innsbruck and Graz. Events like these, for me, are the equivalent of a metal concert: you discover new things, meet passionate people, and there is a contagious positive energy in the air.
Documenting these experiences is always a great pleasure.

The idea for the Whisky Tour series was born during a stay in Vienna.
The initial goal was simple: to explore the whisky culture of the city and perhaps create a small guide to help navigate the various bars and specialty shops.
That trip became the starting point of a series that will continue in the future. In this playlist you will find explorations of cities and places connected to whisky culture.
The name Whisky Tour is inspired by the famous Grand Tour, the long cultural journey undertaken by European aristocrats between the 17th and 18th centuries. A journey across the great cities of the continent with the aim of enriching one’s cultural education.
In a way, it’s a reference that fits perfectly with the world of whisky as well.
whisky & philosophy
Whisky is not just a drink.
It is time, transformation, and patience.
For this reason, I also wanted to create a playlist dedicated to reflection: Whisky & Philosophy.
Philosophy, from the Greek philosophía, means “love of wisdom”. It is the rational exploration of the great questions of existence, knowledge, and human values.
In a sense, whisky also invites us to slow down and look beyond the surface. Every dram tells a story made of land, tradition, and time.
This playlist is dedicated to those who enjoy reflecting on these deeper aspects.

The latest addition is the channel’s podcast.
Anyone who has spent time with our club knows how easy it is to spend hours discussing whisky. At some point it simply felt natural to record some of those conversations and share them.
The format is intentionally simple and relaxed: conversations among enthusiasts, shared over a good dram.
The first official episode is already online, and many more will follow.
An interesting aspect is that the podcast format also allows you to listen to the audio through YouTube Music without necessarily watching the video.

Alongside the videos, I have also decided to introduce a small weekly appointment.
Every Sunday evening I will publish a whisky quiz in the channel’s Community section.
A simple and fun way to test your knowledge and discover a few new curiosities along the way.

Here you will find all the videos that do not fall into the categories listed above but are still part of the channel’s journey.
At least until the material grows even further and I once again feel the need to reorganize things.

These new playlists simply represent a more organized way to explore it together. Over time we will see to which ports this journey across the ocean of Aqua Vitae will take us.

Nuove Playlist sul Canale: una Piccola Riorganizzazione
La primavera è arrivata.
Le giornate si allungano, la luce cambia e con essa aumentano anche i momenti della vita che vale la pena immortalare.Negli ultimi mesi il materiale pubblicato sul canale è cresciuto parecchio. Degustazioni, fiere, incontri con professionisti del settore, riflessioni e conversazioni tra appassionati. Tutti elementi che fanno parte del vasto e affascinante universo del whisky.
Proprio per questo motivo ho deciso di fare un po’ di ordine.
Quando il canale è nato non avrei mai immaginato di produrre così tanti contenuti. All’inizio esistevano soltanto poche playlist, tra cui Moonshiner Music, Sicily by Sam e Fly High. La sezione principale era ed è tuttora Sam’s Whisky Lounge, la playlist dedicata al mondo del whisky.
Con il tempo però i contenuti si sono moltiplicati e mi è sembrato naturale suddividerli in categorie più specifiche. In questo modo sarà molto più semplice orientarsi tra i vari video e trovare subito ciò che più interessa.
Vediamo quindi le nuove playlist che da oggi faranno parte del canale.
Exclusive Tastings
Come suggerisce il nome, la playlist Exclusive Tastings raccoglie degustazioni e presentazioni guidate direttamente da brand ambassador e professionisti del settore.
Si tratta spesso di occasioni speciali in cui è possibile scoprire dettagli interessanti sulle distillerie, sulla filosofia produttiva e sulle caratteristiche dei vari whisky.
Tra i video già pubblicati ci sono, ad esempio, la presentazione di Ana Carreno della distilleria Arran oppure quella di Antony di House of McCallum.
Un ottimo modo per scoprire curiosità e prospettive diverse sul whisky.

Chi frequenta questo mondo sa bene che le fiere e gli eventi dedicati al whisky hanno un’atmosfera davvero particolare.
Per questo ho creato la playlist Fairs & Events, dedicata proprio a questi momenti.
Tra i video pubblicati finora ci sono quelli della fiera del whisky di Innsbruck e di Graz. Eventi di questo tipo, per me, sono l’equivalente di un concerto metal: si fanno nuove scoperte, si incontrano persone appassionate e si respira un’energia positiva davvero contagiosa.
Documentare queste esperienze è sempre un grande piacere.
Whisky Tour
L’idea della serie Whisky Tour è nata durante un soggiorno a Vienna.
L’obiettivo iniziale era semplice: esplorare la cultura del whisky della città e magari creare una piccola guida per orientarsi tra i vari locali e negozi specializzati.
Quel viaggio è diventato il punto di partenza di una serie che continuerà anche in futuro. In questa playlist troverai infatti le esplorazioni di città e luoghi legati alla cultura del whisky.
Il nome Whisky Tour è ispirato al celebre Grand Tour, il lungo viaggio culturale intrapreso dagli aristocratici europei tra il XVII e il XVIII secolo. Un percorso attraverso le grandi città del continente con lo scopo di arricchire la propria formazione culturale.
Un riferimento che, in fondo, si adatta perfettamente anche al mondo del whisky.
Whisky & Philosophy
Il whisky non è soltanto una bevanda.
È tempo, trasformazione, pazienza.Proprio per questo motivo ho voluto creare anche una playlist dedicata alla riflessione: Whisky & Philosophy.
La filosofia, dal greco philosophía, significa “amore per la sapienza”. È l’indagine razionale sulle grandi questioni dell’esistenza, della conoscenza e dei valori umani.
In un certo senso, anche il whisky invita a rallentare e ad andare oltre la superficie. Ogni dram racconta una storia fatta di territorio, tradizione e tempo.
Questa playlist è dedicata a chi ama riflettere su questi aspetti più profondi.
Podcast
L’ultima novità è il podcast del canale.
Chi frequenta il nostro club sa bene quanto sia facile passare ore a discutere di whisky. A un certo punto è sembrato naturale registrare alcune di queste conversazioni e condividerle.
Il formato è volutamente semplice e rilassato: chiacchiere tra appassionati, davanti a un buon dram.
Il primo episodio ufficiale è già online e molti altri seguiranno.
Un aspetto interessante è che il formato podcast permette anche di ascoltare soltanto l’audio tramite YouTube Music, senza necessariamente guardare il video.
Il Quiz della Domenica
Oltre ai video, ho deciso di introdurre anche un piccolo appuntamento settimanale.
Ogni domenica sera pubblicherò infatti un quiz dedicato al mondo del whisky nella sezione Community del canale.
Un modo semplice e divertente per mettere alla prova le proprie conoscenze e scoprire qualche curiosità in più.
Sam’s Whisky Lounge
La playlist principale Sam’s Whisky Lounge continuerà naturalmente a esistere.
Qui troverai tutti i video che non rientrano nelle categorie appena presentate e che fanno comunque parte del percorso del canale.
Almeno fino al momento in cui il materiale crescerà ancora e sentirò di nuovo il bisogno di riorganizzare tutto.
Navigando nell’Oceano dell’Aqua Vitae
Il mondo del whisky è vasto e pieno di sfumature.
Queste nuove playlist rappresentano semplicemente un modo più ordinato per esplorarlo insieme. Vedremo col tempo verso quali porti ci porterà questo viaggio attraverso l’oceano dell’Aqua Vitae.
Nel frattempo, sappi che è sempre un piacere averti a bordo.

Neue Playlists auf dem Kanal: eine kleine Umstrukturierung
Der Frühling ist da. Die Tage werden länger, das Licht verändert sich, und damit nehmen auch die Momente im Leben zu, die es wert sind, festgehalten zu werden.
In den letzten Monaten ist die Menge an Material, das auf dem Kanal veröffentlicht wurde, erheblich gewachsen. Verkostungen, Messen, Treffen mit Fachleuten der Branche, Reflexionen und Gespräche unter Liebhabern. All dies sind Elemente, die Teil des weiten und faszinierenden Universums des Whiskys sind.
Genau aus diesem Grund habe ich beschlossen, ein wenig Ordnung zu schaffen.
Als der Kanal ins Leben gerufen wurde, hätte ich mir nie vorstellen können, so viele Inhalte zu produzieren. Am Anfang gab es nur wenige Playlists, darunter „Moonshiner Music“, „Sicily by Sam“ und „Fly High“. Der Hauptbereich war und ist nach wie vor „Sam’s Whisky Lounge“, die Playlist, die der Welt des Whiskys gewidmet ist.
Mit der Zeit haben sich die Inhalte jedoch vervielfacht, und es erschien mir naheliegend, sie in spezifischere Kategorien zu unterteilen. Auf diese Weise wird es viel einfacher sein, sich zwischen den verschiedenen Videos zurechtzufinden und sofort das zu finden, was einen am meisten interessiert.
Schauen wir uns also die neuen Playlists an, die ab heute Teil des Kanals sein werden.
Exklusive Tastings
Wie der Name schon sagt, umfasst die Playlist „Exklusive Tastings“ Verkostungen und geführte Präsentationen, die direkt von Markenbotschaftern und Branchenexperten geleitet werden.
Oft handelt es sich dabei um besondere Anlässe, bei denen man interessante Details über die Brennereien, die Herstellungsphilosophie und die Eigenschaften der verschiedenen Whiskys erfahren kann.
Zu den bereits veröffentlichten Videos gehören beispielsweise die Präsentation von Ana Carreno von der Arran-Brennerei oder die von Antony vom House of McCallum.
Eine hervorragende Möglichkeit, Wissenswertes und unterschiedliche Perspektiven zum Thema Whisky zu entdecken.
Fairs & Events
Wer sich in dieser Szene auskennt, weiß, dass Whisky-Messen und -Veranstaltungen eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre haben.
Deshalb habe ich die Playlist „Fairs & Events“ erstellt, die genau diesen Momenten gewidmet ist.
Unter den bisher veröffentlichten Videos befinden sich jene von der Whisky-Messe in Innsbruck und in Graz. Veranstaltungen dieser Art sind für mich das Äquivalent zu einem Metal-Konzert: Man macht neue Entdeckungen, trifft gleichgesinnte Menschen und spürt eine wirklich ansteckende positive Energie.
Diese Erlebnisse zu dokumentieren, ist mir immer eine große Freude.
Whisky Tour
Die Idee zur Reihe „Whisky Tour“ entstand während eines Aufenthalts in Wien.
Das ursprüngliche Ziel war einfach: die Whisky-Kultur der Stadt zu erkunden und vielleicht einen kleinen Leitfaden zu erstellen, um sich unter den verschiedenen Lokalen und Fachgeschäften zurechtzufinden.
Diese Reise wurde zum Ausgangspunkt einer Reihe, die auch in Zukunft fortgesetzt wird. In dieser Playlist findest du nämlich Erkundungen von Städten und Orten, die mit der Whisky-Kultur verbunden sind.
Der Name „Whisky Tour“ ist inspiriert von der berühmten Grand Tour, der langen Kulturreise, die europäische Aristokraten zwischen dem 17. und 18. Jahrhundert unternahmen. Eine Reise durch die großen Städte des Kontinents mit dem Ziel, die eigene kulturelle Bildung zu bereichern.

Die Philosophie, vom griechischen philosophía, bedeutet „Liebe zur Weisheit“. Sie ist die rationale Auseinandersetzung mit den großen Fragen des Daseins, des Wissens und der menschlichen Werte.
In gewisser Weise lädt auch der Whisky dazu ein, inne zu halten und über die Oberfläche hinauszuschauen. Jeder Schluck erzählt eine Geschichte aus Region, Tradition und Zeit.
Diese Playlist ist all jenen gewidmet, die gerne über diese tieferen Aspekte nachdenken.
Podcast
Die neueste Neuigkeit ist der Podcast unseres Kanals.
Wer unseren Club besucht, weiß genau, wie leicht man Stunden damit verbringen kann, über Whisky zu diskutieren. Irgendwann erschien es uns ganz natürlich, einige dieser Gespräche aufzunehmen und zu teilen.
Das Format ist bewusst einfach und locker gehalten: ein Plausch unter Liebhabern bei einem guten Glas Whisky.
Die erste offizielle Folge ist bereits online, und viele weitere werden folgen.
Ein interessanter Aspekt ist, dass das Podcast-Format es auch ermöglicht, über YouTube Music nur den Ton anzuhören, ohne sich unbedingt das Video ansehen zu müssen.
Das Sonntagsquiz
Neben den Videos habe ich beschlossen, auch einen kleinen wöchentlichen Termin einzuführen.
Jeden Sonntagabend werde ich nämlich im Community-Bereich des Kanals ein Quiz veröffentlichen, das der Welt des Whiskys gewidmet ist.
Eine einfache und unterhaltsame Möglichkeit, sein Wissen auf die Probe zu stellen und ein paar weitere Kuriositäten zu entdecken.
Sam’s Whisky Lounge
Die Hauptplaylist „Sam’s Whisky Lounge“ wird natürlich weiterhin bestehen bleiben.
Hier findest du alle Videos, die nicht in die eben vorgestellten Kategorien passen, aber dennoch Teil des Kanals sind.
Zumindest so lange, bis das Material weiter wächst und ich wieder das Bedürfnis verspüre, alles neu zu ordnen.
Segeln auf dem Ozean des Aqua Vitae
Die Welt des Whiskys ist weitläufig und voller Nuancen.
Diese neuen Playlists sind einfach eine übersichtlichere Möglichkeit, sie gemeinsam zu erkunden. Wir werden mit der Zeit sehen, zu welchen Häfen uns diese Reise über den Ozean des Aqua Vitae führen wird.
